24: Absence Without Pay

Public Health Nurses shall be entitled to up to six (6) working days (a maximum of forty eight (48) hours) absence without pay each calendar year. Such absence shall not be considered a break in service for purposes of eligibility for salary adjustments, sick leave, vacation or seniority. Such absences shall be requested in writing, and shall be scheduled by the department head consistent with the needs of the department.
